Yeah i watched Haiyoru! Nyaruani: Remember My Mr Lovecraft (henceforth lovecraft until the community come up with the inevitable shorthand version)before ore imouto, and you may be wondering; "Hey didn't  you just post ten minutes ago?" yes, yes i did.  So my reasonable assumption is that i was cock teased by the winter anime season, and this was only a preview... That or this will be a ten minute show, with, shall we call...stylized drawings, no context to the plot, and copious amounts of sexual innuendo.  Oh, they do have an OP which isn't bad.  However without any research on my part, I'm willing to say this was only a preview, and lack of quality be damned I'm still looking forward to this show the most out of any of the winters line up.

Now of to watch ore imouto

I log in today to find new anime already up.  It seems a bit early, but still a nice suprise for the start of the Winter 10/11 season.  Lovecraft is up and so will my impresions, but first... ore imouto.  Gotta finsh the fall season before even thinking of the winter one.

Tsun Tsun

A new "sleep" cd was released recently featuring the vocal talents of Kugimiya Rie. Of course this means its not just any cd, no, it features the tsundere. Apparently the first half of the cd begins with the characters (and listener to a lesser extent) having dinner. The second half contains the sleeping segment.



Lets see how many otaku can actually fall asleep to the sultry voice of a tsundere, and not only that but the most famous one of them all.\

cant wait for The Last Guardian, well we may get some more from Ueda sooner than we thought with a PS3 re-release of Ico and SotC. Good news...kinda, well not really for anyone that's reading this. But if your in Japan and hate streaming TV on your Mobile phone (cause only evil people get anime any other way). The amazingly well written and occasionally offensive to Koreans anime Axis Powers Hetalia will be airing on TV this June. You may be asking yourself wait this is great news, TV length Hetalia whats not to love. Well their just going to air the 5 minute episodes we've already seen in 4-5 episode chunks. So no new Hetalia in long form yet.

New Gundam Anime

When you think new Gundam anime, the first thing that comes to mind is epic battles, anime politics, and diverging continuities that are hard to keep up with for the uninitiated. But what about the arguably most successful aspect of this multimedia franchise, when will it get its just due? Well wait no longer cause yes, we're getting a Gundam anime....about building Gundam plastic models. When you think about it it makes perfect sense, these hunks of plastic revolutionized not only product tie ins, but also the entire Japanese toy industry, as well as helping solidify the now standard "real" robot genre.
At the moment no real details are known other than it will be 3 episodes starting release this summer. No word on whether it's an OVA, or TV anime. My bet is and OVA though, with some probable tie in with an exclusive model kit.

Welcome

You may be asking yourself what is Otakooz? Why do i care? Well I'm going to tell you, even if you weren't asking those questions, and maybe I'll even answer a few more. Otakooz is a start up, a place holder for much greater things to come. I say this now because honestly Ive been holding off on this grand campaign of Internet blogging until i thought up a name that i felt comfortable with. And now it has arrived OTAKOOZ!!

Any who, Otakooz will be many things, and lets hope at least one of them is good. Primarily this blog will focus on Anime, Manga, and Japanese games. I have a lot of lofty goals, but for now lets keep this simple, and fun. Look forward to the next post that will go a bit more in depth as to what I'm thinking, and its coming very soon.
